City of Brisbane
Description: The City of Brisbane has two redevelopment areas: Project Area One and
Project Area Two. There has been discussion on how tax increment money from the Project Areas could be used for housing programs such as first-time homebuyer loans;
participation in the County Housing Rehabilitation Assistance Programs;
preservation, rehabilitation, and/or acquisition of affordable housing; and a
sweat equity homeowner program.

City of Burlingame
Description: The City of Burlingame is in the process of updating the Housing Element of
the General Plan. The City is holding workshops to look at the current
housing situation, affordable housing and sites for potential development to
meet present and future housing demands.

City of Daly City
Description: Housing programs from the City's Economic and Community Development
Department include the following: Security Bars Retrofit Grant, Senior Minor
Home Repair Grant, Roof Only Loan, Exterior Paint Only Plan and Complete
Rehab Loan. Along with he County of San Mateo and SamTrans, the City of Daly
City is a partner in the Colma BART Station Area Specific Plan, calling for
high density housing to be located in a 100 acre site surrounding a new BART
station.

City of Foster City
Description: Community Development Agency In accordance with state law, seeks to provide
housing opportunities for all economic segments of the community. The Agency
is working with local residential developers and non-profit housing agencies
to provide, in the near future, additional affordable housing for eligible
families who live and work in Foster City. Foster City's Community
Development Agency offers several affordable housing programs for income
eligible City residents: rental of Below Market Rate units, purchase of Below
Market Rate units and a home ownership programs for first -time homebuyers.

City of Half Moon Bay
Description: Half Moon Bay features the Moonridge farm labor housing complex, an
affordable housing project for agricultural workers developed by the
Mid-Peninsula Housing Coalition.
Mid-peninsula also built the Main Street affordable housing complex with 28
units.

City of Menlo Park
Description: The City's housing programs include: Fair Housing Services, Housing
Accessibility Modifications Grants, Homesharing Help and Information,
Emergency Repair Loans, Below Market Rate Housing and Housing Rehabilitation
Loans.

City of Millbrae
Description: The major development in the City of Millbrae is the Millbrae Station Square. Anticipating the now-complete BART/SFO Extension, the city adopted the Millbrae Station Area Specific Plan in order to attract hotel, office, retail and housing development to the area around the Millbrae BART station. The Millbrae BART Station provides the only Intermodal rail connection west of the Mississippi, creating the first regional rail system in the Bay Area. This unique station allows BART, CalTrain and SamTrans to connect under one roof, thereby maximizing regional travel options to passengers in the Bay Area.
