San Mateo County Economic Development Association
Description: Samceda, originally called the San Mateo County Economic Development Association, serves as the voice of business on the Peninsula. Samceda promotes effective business leadership in the public policy arena. Samceda is organized to involve member businesses, individuals and civic leaders in a collaborative effort with local, regional and state officials to address the challenges affecting the economic health, well-being and quality of life on the Peninsula. Through its Housing Action Team, Samceda works to influence public policy on key issues such as expanding the housing stock to meet workforce needs. Samceda cooperates with local government through the Peninsula Policy Partnership (P3P), a collaborative effort between San Mateo County, cities within the county and Samceda as the business partner. HLC participates in several P3 committees and events.

San Mateo County Housing Authority

Description: The Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo (HACSM) was created in March 1941 pursuant to the State Health and Safety Code to provide housing assistance to low and very low income families. The County Board of Supervisors, in a separate legal capacity, serves as the Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners. Funding for the Housing Authority is entirely provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and rental income from tenants in its two housing developments.

San Mateo County Mental Health Services

Description: The Mental Health Services Division provides a broad range of services to people with mental illness in the county. The Division has a special focus on seriously mentally ill adults and children, older adults at risk of institutionalization, children in special education or at risk of out-of-home placement and people of any age in major crisis. The division serves over 10,000 clients through outpatient service centers in Daly City, San Mateo, the Coastside, Redwood City and East Palo Alto, school-based locations and a network of community agencies and independent providers. These county and community resources provide outpatient services, residential treatment, rehabilitation and supportive housing services. Through a contract with Telecare Corporation, the Division also operates the Cordilleras Mental Health Center, a 120-bed skilled nursing facility in Redwood City.

Santa Clara County Association of Realtors
Description: The Santa Clara County Association of Realtors, (SCCAOR -- pronounced "score"), exists to meet the needs of real estate professionals. SCCAOR's Government Affairs Department sserves as the community voice for organized real estate. The Department's staff is involved in a number of community affairs, such as the Housing Trust of Santa Clara County, the Housing Action Coalition, San Jose Beautiful and the San Jose/Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce. Staff members represent the real estate community on boards, task forces and committees throughout the County.

Sares Regis Group
Description: The Sares-Regis Group is a regional real estate firm providing services
through its Commercial, Multifamily and Homebuilding Divisions. Formed
through the 1993 merger of Sares Company and The company manages approximately $2.1 billion in assets on behalf of its institutional partners
and clients. These assets include 13.5 million square feet of commercial
property, 9,700 apartment units and 1,000 acres of land. The company has purchased and/or
developed approximately 34 million square feet of commercial property and
more than 18,000 residential homes and apartments since their inception in
1975. One of the groups two partners, Regis Homes, purchased a former Navy
base in San Bruno to build a large "urban village" project which will include
affordable housing and senior housing.

Save Carriage Manor
Description: The Save Carriage Manor Advisory Council, working with the Daughters of Charity Ministry Service Corporation, has purchased and is rehabilitating the Carriage Manor Apartments, a service enriched housing community for very low income families.
