East Palo Alto Teen Home
Description: The East Palo Alto Teen home provides a home for teenage girls 12 to 17 who have come from juvenile hall, child protective services and social services. Girls can live at the home until they turn 18 as long as they attend school or work. Approximately six girls live at the home with seven staff members.The girls also go on field trips to broaden their experiences and receive assistance in finding jobs.

Eden Housing
Description: Eden Housing, Inc. revitalizes communities through an array of affordable housing development and management activities as well as social services that meet the needs of lower income people.Eden builds sustainable communities through building housing, managing properties, providing services to residents, initiating economic development, establishing partnerships and making investments in neighborhoods throughout Northern California.

EdVoice
Description: EdVoice was established by our state's leading educational philanthropists who understand that the future of California will be shaped by the quality of education our public schools deliver. Many gave generously and worked tirelessly to pass Proposition 39, changing the rules that prevented many communities from repairing old schools and building new ones. Four former state Secretaries of Education have joined leaders from business, academia, and government as members of EdVoice's Advisory Board. EdVoice has no vested interest in education other than the passing of laws that will help our public schools do a better job preparing students to meet the challenges of the future.

Enterprise Foundation
Description: The Enterprise Foundation is a national, nonprofit housing and community development organization working with partners to provide low-income people with affordable housing, safer streets, and access to jobs and child care. Programs include funding, providnig expertise, training, networking and special initiatives. Enterprise Foundation demonstrates what is possible on the ground through Enterprise Concentration Cities of which the local example is East Palo Alto, where EF assisted in the master-planning and financing of the 400 unit Gateway III housing developments .

Family Crossroads Transitional Housing
Parent Org: Shelter Network of San Mateo County
Description: Shelter Network is the primary provider of housing and services for homeless children and adults in San Mateo County. Shelter Network is committed to providing housing and support services that create opportunities for homeless families and individuals of San Mateo County to re-establish self-sufficiency and to return to permanent homes of their own. Family Crossroads in Daly City provides transitional housing for up to 12 homeless families at a time.

First Community Housing
Description: As a nonprofit, public benefit, developer, First Community Housing (FCH) is making a positive impact by building sustainable, high-quality, affordable housing developments and offering resident services that meet the needs of those who earn less than the area's median income. FCH strategically locates their developments near public transit and was one of the first developers to offer free EcoPasses to residents to reduce dependence on private cars. FCH has won awards for architectural design and is committed to the use of "green" building materials.

First Step for Families

Description: Shelter Network is the primary provider of housing and services for homeless children and adults in San Mateo County. Shelter Network is committed to providing housing and support services that create opportunities for homeless families and individuals of San Mateo County to re-establish self-sufficiency and to return to permanent homes of their own. First Step for Families provides immediate shelter and services for families from the moment they become homeless. Families can stay for up to 60 days, until they either find permanent housing or move on to one of Shelter Network’s transitional housing programs or another residential program designed to meet their needs.
