Bay Area Alliance for Sustainable Communities
Description: The Bay Area Alliance for Sustainable Communities (Bay Area Alliance) is a multi-stakeholder coalition established in 1997 to develop and implement an action plan that will lead to a more sustainable region. BAA provides a unique and valuable forum in which representatives of the Three Es of Sustainable Development (Three Es) - prosperous economy, quality environment, and social equity - and government leaders at all levels come together to address major regional challenges.

California Apartment Association - Tri-County Division
Description: The California Apartment Association Tri-County Division is the leading resource for rental housing information in San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. Their web site provides information on education, government, management tools and membership information. The Tri-County Division provides services to both renters and apartment operators. Some of the renter side services provided are information on rent increases, evictions, energy saving tips and fair housing. The trade association side provides basic facts, figures and history of the apartment industry.

Child Care Coordinating Council
Description: Developing resources to assure quality child care that meets the diverse needs of children and families of San Mateo County has been the mission of the Child Care Coordinating Council since its inception in 1972. The availability of quality, affordable child care is absolutely vital. The Council coordinates and delivers essential services which include:
Information and support to families seeking child care and the best early learning environments
Subsidies for child care
Professional training and support to child care programs and providers
Child care needs assessment
Consultation and options for employers
Leadership to address child care and early education issues.

City of San Carlos
Description: The Housing Division is responsible for the City's housing efforts. Housing activities are initiated and coordinated with the Project Area Committee (PAC) and Housing Subcommittee. The Division participates in local and regional housing efforts, evaluation of housing opportunities as the become available, programs to increase the supply of workforce housing and funding support for several key housing programs.

Community Legal Services of East Palo Alto
Description: Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto (“CLS-EPA”) provides free legal services to low-income and under-served people in the areas of housing and immigration through advice clinics, direct services and representation. It is also home to the Volunteer Attorney Program (VAP) and a Juvenile Justice clinic, which provide legal services in a broad range of practice areas by engaging the assistance of volunteer law students and pro bono attorneys. CLS-EPA opened in September 2002.

EPA CAN DO
Description: East Palo Alto Community Alliance and Neighborhood Development Organization, is a community development corporation (CDC)and community housing development organization (CHDO) serving East Palo Alto. EPA CANDO works in partnership with Foundations, and non-profit housing developers, incuding Mid-Peninsula Housing Coalition, Bridge Housing, Citizens Housing, and Eden Housing, to build housing that is affordable to EPA residents. EPA CANDO offers other programs including a First Step Center that provides education and counseling on credit and home finance.
