Housing Elements
Everyone loves the Housing Element!
At least, housing advocates do. The Housing Element of every jurisdiction’s General Plan determines housing policy and practice. By California law, the Housing Element must be updated every seven years.
Jurisdictions in San Mateo County need to update their Housing Elements by June 30, 2009. HLC will be participating in the updating process and encourages its members and blog readers to do the same.
