In their words: “Threshold 2008 was formed to engage the public on housing issues and options in San Mateo County… We believe that by including more people in the discussion and by understanding the range of perspectives on housing issues, leaders will be in a better position to make decisions that support and sustain our community… Our goal is to build the public voice on housing choices.”
Threshold’s “countywide assembly” happens in a few weeks. The online dialogue takes place in April. You can be sure HLC will be promoting participation in that conversation.
Meanwhile, the marketing firm hired by Threshold has been calling around the county to generate a demographically representative sample of the county’s population. I’ve received a few emails from people who have been called or know someone who has. Imagine that — housing advocates are a part of a demographically accurate slice of the county, too! Hooray!
